The Civil Aviation Minister stated that the Jabalpur Airport is also set to get a new Terminal Building, being built at a cost of INR 412 crore which will further give new energy to travel and economic growth. |

Star Air announces new flights from Ajmer to Ghaziabad New flights from Ajmer (Kishangarh) to Hindon (Ghaziabad) will commence on February 16, 2024. The route will be operated by the state-of-the art Embraer E175 with dual class configuration – 12 luxurious business class seats and 64 Economy seats. The flights will operate on Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. |

Iran announces visa-waiver programme for Indian tourists for max of 15-day stay Iran approved the new visa-waiver programme for 33 countries, including India, Russia, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Brazil and Mexico, in December. Iranian culture minister Ezzatollah Zarghami had said the move is aimed at boosting tourism and neutralising “Iranophobia campaigns”. |

Bali to impose $10 tourist fee starting this Valentine's Day Bali will implement a new tourism tax from February 14, exempting seven visa categories from the IDR 150,000 fee. Visa holders must apply for an exemption online. The levy can be paid at the airport and port, but tourists may be asked to show their voucher. |

Palace on Wheels to start offering tours to Ayodhya, Kashi, and Varanasi from May The Rajasthan Tourism Development Corporation (RTDC) has delegated the management of Palace on Wheels to Cube Construction Company Pvt Ltd, a Gujarat-based private firm, for the next seven years. The private operator will initiate religious tour services in May, featuring a comprehensive six-day itinerary starting from Delhi and covering Ayodhya, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Mathura, and Vrindavan. |

New terminal building inaugurated at Dehradun airport The Airports Authority of India (AAI) said the new terminal building has been constructed in two phases at an estimated cost of INR 486 crore. With the new terminal building, inaugurated by Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, the airport will be able to handle 3,240 passengers during peak hours. |
